I received a notice from RedData Legal
If you received a notice with an RD- case number, here is the information to understand what it means and what your options are.
RedData Legal handles, on behalf of a company it represents, a claim for sending a commercial communication without its consent. The notice informs you of the detected infringement and your options.
You will have received an email with a case number (RD-…) and an access code. Enter them right here to see the evidence, the legal framework and the status of the matter.
You can provide proof of consent or your representations through the case portal or by replying to the notice. We will review whatever you send before continuing.
You can reach an out-of-court settlement by paying the stated amount, by card from the portal or by bank transfer. Upon payment, the claiming company waives further action for that email and you receive a closure document.
If the deadlines pass without a response or settlement, the claiming company may file a complaint with the AEPD and report the abuse to your email provider, host and domain registrar.
